Generic Drone

Database text: A generic surveillance drone equipped with a TV camera and IR night vision.

Basically, this is a remote control version of the Chotia Weedhopper, equipped with a camera with zoom (marine binoculars), IR night vision (night vision goggles), and MAYBE a laser designator for painting a target for other aircraft, etc. It is meant to simulate the dozens of drone models built by countries around the world. It can also simulate any future or homebrew drone models such as those that might be purchased or built by terrorists, criminal syndicates, spy agencies, countries torn apart by civil wars, etc.

The exact range seems to vary by model (from 50 to 120 miles), so it might be best to just use the average, which seems to be about 75 miles.

It can take off from a very short runway, or a grass field, so I'm assuming it can take off from any STOL airfield--even a 3,000-foot dirt/jungle runway is much more than it needs. I am assuming that this version IS carrier capable and designed to take off from or land on any vessel large enough to launch STOL aircraft. (The U.S. has a couple of small drones like this, in fact.)
