February 14, 201214 yr Landsort class mine countermeasures vessel Swedish mine hunter (in case the Soviets try to close the Baltic, you know)...not sure if the Singaporean variant, the Bedok, needs its own listing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landsort_clas...measures_vessel ANW HUD 4 v 1.1 b8
April 11, 201313 yr Author Information for the Bedok can be found here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedok-class_mine_countermeasures_vessel "The Bedok class are mine-countermeasure vessels (MCMVs) of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). They play an important role in the maritime security of Singapore, ensuring that the Singapore Strait and the sea lanes surrounding Singapore remain mine-free and open to international shipping. It is estimated that closure of Singapore’s ports would result in direct trade losses amounting to more than US$1.2 billion daily, posing a serious threat to Singapore's economy.[1][2] The four ships form the 194 Squadron of the RSN." --Wikipedia I think that even though mines are not modeled in HUD3/ANW, there a good case for including more minehunter classes. "Minehunting" missions can always be simulated with a Station victory condition; the real mission would probably be something protecting the minehunters from hostile forces, which is exactly the kind of low intensity conflict that might happen anywhere around the world and which ANW can model quite well.
