Herman Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 The 20th NEW Harpoon scenario of the year! "Eyes and Claws (Act II)" This is the seventh scenario of the PaSon battleset; the "pro version" of Eyes and Claws, the sixth scenario of the PaSon battleset. While the PaSon scenarios are designed for beginners, this one should be a match for experienced Harpoon players, too. Like the whole PaSon battleset, this scenario also assumes that the Soviet Union never collapsed and the Cold War went hot. There is a strong Red beachhead in Norway which has to be eliminated with limited resources. The Harriers are dedicated to Roberto Yeager. TonyE Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 Just to make things clear: 1. I have not written this PDB-version of my original scenario and I strongly disagree with its release. 2. Same was with Part I of "Eyes and Claws" and several others of my scens. These PDB-versions have been written by Mr. Hum. But I couldn´t stop their release since I once allowed him to rebuild my PASON-Battleset for his database. He even can release one more scen which bases on my originals - "Attacking the Fortress". I deeply regret this former decision of mine and herewith publicly apologise to those who claim that their original database work has been ripped; especially to Ragnar Emsoy and Darren Buckley. Many of the new players don´t know Ragnar Emsoy and his work, but you can read Darren Buckley´s statements here. Darren has worked for a dozen years or so for Harpoon, creating original content. Just because he is angry he isn´t wrong. Anyone who knows the background, can understand him. This means all those still using the PDB database and scens written for it now should know just what they use. Second I ask all Harpooners not to play this scenario as well as not to play any of my scenarios which have been converted using the PDB. I once agreed to that and even wrote scens with this database because I thought it was most important to keep the game with new scens alive. This was wrong. It is most important to divide right from wrong, even in the virtual world. Ralf Koelbach, Pooner 2007 Ralf asked me to include this text and I am doing so with reservation but also with conviction given what I believe to be a very misleading post about the release of this scenario on the Matrix forums.
