Juhan
Morning guys, well it is morning in South Africa right now I am an avid follower of the Admiralty Trilogy games, okay to be honest, CaS and Harpoon...but players from this neck of the woods is few and far between. I want to propose a small PBEM game for Harpoon, a very small simple scenario to be played via PBEM. I have not run a game before, neither in person nor PBEM, so this will be a learning curve for me. I was thinking...maybe something small like "The Day Before The Morning After" (SS/SSN vs SSBN) from High Tide or something similar. Would anybody be interested in something like that? TonyE
Yes, interested and totally agree on the "keep it small" concept.
Piotr
Hi, I would be interested too.
CV32
The only way these work at all, is if they are small, well organized and run/played by dedicated people.
Juhan
Hi guys, Sorry, real life interfered with the more important things... Tony and Piotr, drop me an PM with contact details and I will send you the necessary info and choices. I will try to post a AAR Write-up after completion of the game...small and simple is the key... Piotr
Done. Have you decided about game pace (i.e. turn frequency in real life)?
CV32
Did this one suffer the (unfortunately) usual fate?
TonyE
Sure did, selected platforms, starting positions, then all went dark
CV32
I was afraid of that. Sigh.
OS2 Crisp
I have just joined the forum and found this. Wondering what the norm is. Are there successful games being run? I think I see some in other sub-forums but these may be different rules sets (H3?). If there is a better spot to ask about this, please point me there. Now kmart494 is running Divide and Conquer http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/forum/76-divide-and-conquer/. It is larger but still small.
