Northrop Grumman is pitching a variant of its Block 30 RQ-4B Global Hawk unmanned surveillance aircraft for a potential Canadian requirement to patrol that nation's far northern regions.

The maple leaf on the side of that Ghawk raised some eyebrows in Ottawa. :lol:

 

I'm an advocate for using high altitude, long endurance UAVs for sovereignty patrol in places like the Arctic, but I'm not entirely sold on whether the platform needs to be Ghawk.

That's why it is named Phawk B) , Polar Hawk, because you all live in Igloos and drag your women around by their hair.
