Issue Information ⦁ Issue ID #000056 ⦁ Issue Type Issue ⦁ Severity 0 – None Assigned ⦁ Status 21 - Fix Coded ⦁ Version 2009.097 ⦁ Fixed in 2015.008 SE - Add toggle AI force group path followingPosted by TonyE on 02 October 2013 - 11:06 AM This is for Brad He would like the ability to define in the SE whether AI groups should stay on their designed courses even when targets of opportunity arise. Currently surface and submarine groups will tear off after detected threats and never get back to their original course, greatly limiting the careful course plotting the scenario author laid out. The toggle will be per scenario and exposed somewhere in the SE's UI. At this time it will be one setting per scenario. Ideal might be a per-group setting as well as per-group type but that is not the intent of this feature request. Issue-056-SE-Add-toggle-AI-force-group-path-following.pdf

Issue Information Issue ID #000058 Issue Type Suggestion Severity 0 – None Assigned Status 30 – Feature Request Version 2009.097 Fixed in GE - Enable player to set initial formation of surface groupsPosted by Grumble on 05 October 2013 - 06:59 AM Allow the player to rearrange formation of surface (&submarine) groups at the start of the scenario, as if in SE. I start most scenarios by rearranging formations of my surface groups. For 2 to 6 hours my ships are just transiting to stations I prefer. During this time my groups are not battle ready as would want them to be. Ships also either transit at flank speed, not good if enemy subs are around, or I have to stop the group completely to make them creep to stations. This is dead time, I could be playing instead. This would be no cheat either. In real life the commander does not pick up command in the middle of Atlantic, his ships are in formation the way he likes them ever since leaving Norfolk. Perhaps there are some scenarios where initial formation is significant for the play, so ideally this would be a feature the scen author can toggle on or off in SE. Issue Information Issue ID #000060 Issue Type Issue Severity 0 - None Assigned Status UNFILED Version 2009.097 Fixed in Turf monster eating AI planesPosted by Grumble on 18 October 2013 - 11:16 PM Occasionally there are unsolicited slander messages reporting that an "enemy a/c group have been shot down" when I'm completely innocent. HDS8 9.0 Demise of the 7th fleet seems to be rich in this, To Go 2:21:38:14 4 enemy MiG-29 Fulcrum of group (ZUb), have been shot down. To Go 2:21:08:39 4 enemy Jaguar Intl of group (ZZa), have been shot down. To Go 2:20:26:55 6 enemy Super Etentard of group (ZSR), have been shot down. To Go 2:20:19:02 4 enemy Jaguar Intl of group (ZWb), have been shot down. These are most likely AI planes running out of fuel, usually on formation patrol, ZSR is miffing a bit. Tony, is this a known issue or merits a closer look? Issue-60-Turf-monster-eating-AI-planes.pdf

Issue Information Issue ID #000057 Issue Type Issue Severity 0 - None Assigned Status 10 - Confirmed Version 2009.097 Fixed in GE - Fix formation station-keepingPosted by TonyE on 02 October 2013 - 11:13 AM The inability of group members to properly keep their stations in formation is a long-standing and well-known issue. Time to take another look at it and see what can be done. To investigate: * Station keeping in groups that have paths defined in the SE and remain untouched in the GE. * Station keeping in groups with no path and speed set. * Station keeping in groups that are moving at Flank speed. * Station keeping in groups at 5kts/creep. * Station keeping in groups that are composed of units split from other groups. * Station keeping in groups that are the result of joining multiple groups together.
