Goodnight Nighthawk
For you younger guys, some older memories..... 1. The Air Force trying to justify the "F" designation for what was clearly an Attack craft. 2. Possibly the real start of Area 51 awareness, especially after one crashed during testing. 3. At least 2 early aircraft shown in a gray-splinteded low-viz daylight color scheme! 4a. The Testors model kit of the top-secret Stealth Fighter supposedly based on the best information that looked nothing like the real thing. 4b. The "Red Storm Rising" description of the F-117 "Ghostrider' as a "flying banjo" seemed to be based on that Testor's kit.

Defect Tracking input needed
"I'm going to be breaking HC in a lot of ways and very severly on the way to a 2nd patch. That will mean beta testers reporting dire situations that the general public could interpret very unpleasantly." When it gets broken on the road to Patch 2, though, the public isn't going to know. They're going to be playing with Patch 1, and only the beta testers will be troubleshooting Patch 2 problems. If that's the case, a two-tier system may be what's needed: 1) Let the Bug Tracker be the place where the general public report bugs for the current release version. Testers and public alike can post comments and progress updates here until the final resolution of the problem, whatever than may be. 2) Let the HC Beta Testing forum be just that: where the problems of the next release version are accessable among the the beta testers only. These issues would not be reported to the Bug Tracker for general consumption. This would be your Mantis replacement, and you may want to strictly limit access to this forum if things are going to get too bloody. Larry G

Defect Tracking input needed
I've gotten sort of fond of Mantis now that I've pretty much figured out how it works. I especially appreciate the take-it-in-at one-look-color-coded Index page. If you could arrance something similar here, then Mantis might be unnecessary; however, I'd hate to be the one who has to transfer all that infor over from there to here.

Jamming
Try MEDC 6 or 7. Some Red bases have SAMs with a 160nm range, well out of the range of the HARMS. It was my understanding that the jamming aircraft have to be part of the group they're protecting. Maybe I'm wrong. I've sent in mixes of A-6 Guided or AntiRadar and EA-6 either Patrol or AntiRadar. It's always some of the Prowlers that get picked off first. Very Low altitude just results in a lot of crashed aircraft.

Jamming
Once again, please explain it to me like I'm four. 1) Does ECM necessarily always mean jammers? 2) How does the human player turn them on? 3) Under what circumstances does the AI turn them on? 4a) Does the lightning bolt indicate the jammer or the jamee? 4b) How can you tell who's being jammed by whom? 5) Is there a way of cutting through jamming? 6) How come my Prowlers are usually the first casualities in a group to SAMs? Thanks, Larry G
