  1. I had to laugh when I saw your comment on Sea Power. I think for most people who buy it the 3D view is the whole point of the game. ("Ooo! Pretty ships! Explosions!" 🙂 In fairness, the ship models, etc. do look beautiful.) I haven't picked it up yet, but I've watched a bunch of videos on YouTube about it. It looks fun, but I suspect it does not go into as much detail as Harpoon and Command do. I understand there is a very healthy mod community, which I think will make the game very exciting for a lot of players, although there is the issue that some of the people making new ships, etc. may not really know how to model them accurately in terms of sensors, detection, etc. I'll be very interested in hearing what you and other long time Harpoon players think of it.
  2. FYI...if anyone is interested in converting any of my old Harpoon scenarios to Command, please feel free to do so. Just mention me as the original author. Thanks!
  3. Just on the off chance people didn't know about this, there is a facebook group for Command... https://www.facebook.com/groups/400225503448206/ It usually has a couple of new posts every day or so, people sharing news and/or humorous links, asking and answering questions, posting pictures of aircraft and ships, etc. Please join if you are interested!

  4. There is a new update to the scenario pack. There are now 235 available scenarios for Command. http://www.warfaresims.com/?page_id=1876 Many of these were written for the newest release of Command, v. 1.06, so be sure to update the game if you have not done so already. http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3762756 Enjoy!
  5. It is possible for India to win, but, yes, I agree, the South Africans have a definite advantage in that they command the skies in that scenario.

  8. Just a thought... Command is very similar to Harpoon and it has the same level of quality--excellent information, realism, gameplay, etc. I think it is going to be a very important part of the naval simulation world for some time to come. Maybe it would make sense to "adopt" Command and make Harpgamer a clearinghouse for information about it, too, including forums for discussing it, and a repository for files, scenarios, etc. I'm not sure how hard it would be to add a new set of sub-forms forums for Command to the site, but this seems to me like a natural direction for Harpgamer to take. Any thoughts on this? Mark
  9. Sorry to hear you had trouble with it. H3 can be a bit finicky. It varies from computer to computer--HUD-4 is one of the few databases that did NOT cause Harpoon to lock up on me on my machine. Go figure. Sometimes you have to tweak the settings, things like the size of the window, etc. I wish I had more of an answer for. you. Good luck.
  10. Any progress on this one?
  11. Pilatus PC-7 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilatus_PC-7 "The Pilatus PC-7 Turbo Trainer is a low-wing tandem-seat training aircraft, manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. The aircraft is capable of all basic training functions including aerobatics, instrument, tactical and night flying. It has been selected by more than 20 air forces as their ab initio trainer. Since the aircraft's introduction in 1978, close to 500 have been sold, with the majority still in service. Over one million hours have been flown by PC-7s worldwide." Although primarily a trainer, this aircraft is used for light attack/COIN missions by some air forces. ANW HUD-4 v1.2
