  2. HC_EURO_DB

EURO_DB is no longer focused on GIUK/Atlantique Ocean/Mediteranean only, it is now merged with the Atlantic DB and it covers the whole World except the Westpac Area due to Space Limitations (County Names).

It is a worldwide DB for the period from around 1975-2008.

The main difference is the changed philosophy for base structure.
All long range weapons (SAM/SSM) will be removed from
Harbours/Airbases. So a Scen-Writer has to add mobile Units to replace the SAMs with improved design posibilities.
Fixed SAM will only provided by AD-Fixed existing in Reality or have exist in the past.

This Version also supports all Changes that comes with the 1. Patch such as improved ECM and the new Gun Model

I´ve stopped the developement of this db.

It will be splitted into dbs covering dedicated timeframes.

Until now the HC-65to80-DB and the HC-80to95-DB are published.

All scens written for the Euro DB will be transfered to the new dbs.

  3. HC_65to80_DB

    Hi

this is an attempt to create a db for the old times when missiles were not the most important weapon....

The last changes to HCE make this possible....

It is a derivate/follow on of the merged Euro and Atlantic DB, therefore it is covering 90% of the world´s navys

So all scen designers are welcome to create scens for this db.

Fixed some crashes with faulty Loadouts and mounts....

A little comment on the naming convention for all entries

an (x) before the name marks hypothetical entries that never became operational.

the timetag after the name indicates the ioc date for a unit...

(1964) unit enterd service in 1964
    (1970-80) unit /version for 1970 to 80
    (-1970) unit retired in 1970

those dates are only a hint/help for scen designers not a fixed "law"

  5. HC-Weapons&Sensors-DB

    HC-Weapons&Sensors-DB

The HC-Weapons&Sensors-DB is not a working db containing all kinds of units.

It is a collection of nearly 2100 Weapon and more than 1000 Sensor datasets and several 100s sample mounts covering more than 75 Years of naval weapon development.

It is dedicated to all DB Designers looking for specific weapon data or those who want to start their own db without doing the basic research for each weapon.

As Usual a (x) in Front of an entry represents a system that was planned an did not enter active Service or a completly fictional System...

    Examples:

    Polyphem SAM/SSM
    Sea lance
    ....

The file contains the neccesary data for the pics that are shown in the platformdisplay.

Simply replace the rsr file shipped with the game and that´s it! No need to restore the original file.

The drawings used by my dbs come from shipbucket, with permission from the artists to use them with my dbs.

  15. South Africa with included DB

    South Africa
A Battleset for Harpoon Classic Commander´s Edition
Written by Réne Haar and Ralf Koelbach

It is 1988. South Africa is still governed by President Botha, who symbolizes the Apartheid-Regime. The country is shaken by riots and the state of emergency is declared.
South Africa´s neighbours are waiting for a chance to overthrow the Apartheid-Regime in Pretoria.
Meanwhile the Glasnost Era between the US and the USSR ends abruptly: few days after the Moscow Summit in May/June, Gorbachev is ousted by a Communist Coup.
All hopes for an end of the Cold War have gone to pieces within hours. The new strong man is Secretary Ligatschow. He vows to reestablish "law and order" and to strengthen Communism all over the world.
The US Government led by President Reagan is caught by surprise. US forces have to be quickly repositioned and prepared for what may come.
But where will the USSR start to reestablish its tight grip?
The Politburo chooses South Africa. Large parts of the Red Fleet are already in this area. South Africa is an outlaw in the Western World because of its Apartheid Regime. Its strategical importance is obvious.
Its neighbours will support any attack on the Regime.
Thus the Soviets draw their plan.
By chance there is one US Carrier Battlegroup in the area.
And so an epic battle starts.

  24. Dawn Patrol

1.1 Background: The coast of Norway is made up of fjords and islands with high, rocky coasts. This is a perfect place for small surface craft to operate because the rock walls make them hard to spot on radar, and the short detection ranges make their smaller SSMs more useful than in open ocean. Additionally, there are so many fjords and other places to hide such that no navy can afford enough large craft to do the job.

1.2 Blue Orders: You are the commander of two squadrons of Norwegian warships. Coastal spotters have reported some large Soviet missile craft moving into your sector. Spread out and move north from your present position, searching along the coastline. Maintain an average speed of 10 knots in order to cover your area in a timely manner.

1.3 Intelligence Brief: The Soviet forces are struggling to control the Norwegian Sea and the coastline. This means finding and destroying Norwegian and other NATO surface units. Once those forces have been diminished, amphibious landings will be made on the coast. These shorten the distances for Soviet ships and aircraft attacking NATO targets in the Atlantic and allow attacks on NATO units that try to reach Soviet targets.

1.4 Minimum Victory Conditions: Disable or destroy at least two Soviet ships.

1.2 Red Orders: You are the commander of a squadron of light Soviet missile frigates. You have left your home port and are cruising south along the coast. Attack any and all enemy surface crafts encountered.

1.3 Intelligence Brief: The Norwegian Navy, backed by NATO forces, is struggling to retain control of the Norwegian sea. If Soviet forces can gain sea control they can seize vital bases along the coast. These shorten the distances for Soviet ships and aircraft attacking NATO targets in the Atlantic, and allow attacks on NATO units that try to reach Soviet targets.

1.4 Minimum Victory Conditions: Destroy at least one NATO vessel, frigate or larger, and severely damage two other NATO vessels.

  25. MCMForceNorth

    MCMForceNorth

In the Baltic, especally in the northeast and east, there are many mines and torpedos laid or fired in WWII which have not yet been cleared. After the cold war, a multi-national Force has been sent. MCMForceNorth is one of the NATO standing naval forces.

You must clear 5 mines at a minimum and 10 for total victory. Do not forget that we are in peacetime so do not shoot down a red plane or ship! Also neutral forces should not be involved in MCM action. Perhaps there is still another small bad surprise!
