    HUD-4 forum structure reworking

    Hi there,

Please post your requests for new platforms here in the HUD4 Requests/Issues forum. Important: for testing purposes, platform adding is now closed for upcoming version. All requests will be examined for next release.

  2. Hi Steven.

To have IADS in place, here's what should be done:

-create one main side, hostile to you

-create as many sub-sides, which will be friendly to the main side, hostile to you. If you want 100% integrated defense network, 1 side is enough. If you want to create "regional commands", each regional command (i.e side) should be friendly to the main side, neutral to each other regional command, and hostile to you.

Hope this helps, have a nice day,

    FG

  3. Can you tell us what level of EW the OPFOR had? I mean how many sensors active? For the planes, it's always good to have a mix (1/3 in AAW Patrol; 2/3 in Air intercept). Also, you need to create small formations (max 4 planes) and to assign each formation to a specific mission, otherwise, if you have let's say 20 planes assigned to this mission, mission will start when all 20 are in the air. Not need to be Nobel prize in Maths to understand that 4 planes will go faster to their duties than 20 ;) .

  4. Hi Steven,

More Korean navy ships are planned in the sequel of HUD-3. KDX-III destroyer and LPH Dokdo as an example. If you need special ships, please feel free to contact me. Sorry I can't give any detail on the sequel's release date, need to be discussed at a higher level.

  5. Yes, there are plenty of Korean platforms. In subs, you have the Chanbogo class, in ships KDX-I (Kwanggaeto), KDX-II (Choonmugong) destroyers and Ulsan class frigates, Paekgu class patrol ships. Korean pennant number is mostly starting by 9, with 2 other figure.

    Best regards,

  6. I wonder what will happen to the HUD now. Is someone else going to take it over?

Make no worry on that, HUD will go on even if Darren has passed away. More information to follow as they become available, but be sure of one thing: work is in progress.

  7. My sympathy goes to Darren's family in this time of sadness. Very much appreciated guy here, always ready to help; and also willing to improve the work on Harpoon. Sad we'll never meet in this world, but we need to celebrate someone who dedicated himself to Harpoon. It depends on us to go on with Darren's work. RIP fellow.

  8. Hi,

If you use internal editor, to create new platform, here's the path for it

in the toolbar pick "database" (only appears in editor.exe) then "edit entry", select the type of platform you want to create (plane,ship...) and click the button "add new entry". There you go ;)

    Best regards

  9. For the Mistral, should I just use the Canberra, which I understand is a very similar design?

    Mark,

Camberra class is closer to the Spanish Juan Carlos I class (it's a spin off or something like that) than from Mistral class, which is only helo-capable platform. Mistral is on the "to do" list for next version of the HUD.

    Best regards,

  10. I went to Korea in 1995. "Peaceful" year, but lot of tension anyway. Soldiers patrolling on the beaches at night, concrete blocks ready to fall down on the road in case of mechanized offensive, MP checkpoints on the road, unusual road signs such as "bridge doesn't stand MBTs rolling over it"... But looks like people try to live normal lives even if "Comical Kim" flexes his "muscles".

    Have a nice day, regards,

    FG
