Probably, though on the heels of a MiG-21 defection to Jordan.

Some pretty high level equipment on alert, it seems.

Reports indicate that the lost aircraft was an RF-4ETM, meaning it was the subject of the Israeli Isik upgrade.

RIA Novosti now reporting that the Syrians have fired on a second Turkish aircraft.

Turkey Denies Fighter Shot Down by Syria
ANKARA, July 13 (RIA Novosti)

The General Staff of Turkey’s Armed Forces on Friday backed down from its previous claim that its fighter jet was downed last month by Syrian forces.

CV32: There appears to be a theory forming that the RF-4ETM crashed while maneuvering to escape a missile, possibly an SA-22 Greyhound from a Syrian Pantsyr-S1.
